Purpose and meaning

Summative evaluation activities consist of determining what has been achieved at a given time[1]. Summative evaluation should take into account both the uptake and impact of eHealth technologies. Together with usage behavior, eHealth impact should be measured to assess whether the intended objectives of the eHealth technology as specified within the value specification phase are being realized.
